AWESK members, since February, have been intensively trained in the following areas:
NGO management,
Budget planning, accounting and financial management of NGOs,
Opportunities for NGO funding,
The financial sustainability of the NGO,
Networking for NGOs,
Use of renewable energy in home and business consumption,
Energy efficiency, and
Electricity tariffs.
The training sessions recorded between 13 to 30 participants and were characterized by great interest and commitment despite that the trainings were mainly held remotely using digital platforms.
Trained members are now more competent in the areas of management and financial sustainability of the association thanks to the experience of providers from the Training and Resource Center for Advocacy (ATRC). Whereas, specific knowledge from the energy sector was gained during the sessions chaired by the best experts of the energy sector in Kosovo.
Information and knowledge will help members contribute to achieving AWESK objectives. Also, with these skills, members will be able to use their knowledge to contribute to increasing the commitment of women and girls in the energy sector in Kosovo.
The remaining half of the training program will be implemented by mid-July.
