Under the organization of MCA Kosovo, the implementer of the MCC-supported Compact Program, an inclusive discussion on the economic benefits of gender equality in employment in the energy sector was held on October 15 in Pristina. The discussion presented concrete actions to prepare women and young girls for this sector through training and networking opportunities. The participants, including the Director of the Association of Women in the Energy Sector in Kosovo (AWESK), Ms. Arijeta Pajaziti, and the Chairwoman of the Assembly of the Association, Ms. Mirvete Gerguri, highlighted their commitments to gender equality in the energy sector and encouraged companies in the sector to offer better conditions for women, emphasizing that gender equality in the energy sector enables sustainable economic growth for the state itself.
